| First thing is that seo is not the part of sem but sem is the part of seo.Other thing is that seo provide free techniques and sem provide paid.SEO takes time to increase the ranking but sem depend on the paying of money. |

| SEO is the organic way of getting ranked and takes some patience. SEM is paid search or AKA PPC ( pay-per-click). You can have your site visible in minutes everywhere according to your budget that is set prior to. The ROI isn't the best compared to SEO.IMO. 90% of search traffic clicks on the organic search vs the 10% of clickers for PPC. The conversion rate is much better with SEO.

| Re: As of me SEO is used to improve the visitors to the website and make some useful backlinks to get into the toppage of search engines where as SEM is a different strategy in which we pay to the affiliate networks in buying the traffic.
