 |  How do I get traffic to my new dating website? Hello all...I recently started an online dating community. It has been almost a month and I have had a few people join but it really isnt going like I would have liked. I would like to know what people thoughts are on how to get major traffic. I would also like to know if you guys could give the site a look at, and let me know what you think, basically a review. | A site that deals directly with people and their interactions is easier to advertise than other types of sites, mainly because of the word of mouth exposure. Offering your customers an incentive (like free views, etc..) if they plug your site on their personal blogs, websites, etc is great advertising and gets you one way back links. Pay Per Click advertising would be a bad idea at first, only because the competition for matchmaking sites is huge. Using a Flat Fee advertising source (I use ExactSeek) can get you a decent amount of exposure for a LOT less than Google, Yahoo, Ask, etc PPC listings. |

| I am learning to drive at the moment, but one of the main things I've noticed is how impatient some other drivers can be. I mean I stalled the car while in a traffic jam, so I got a little panicked and stalled it again, then the driver behind was beeping at me! What the hell is that all about? |
