![]() | Hello everyone! I'm currently looking to start a blog. However, finding the right site hasn't proved to be very easy... I started one on Xanga, but have found it to be very confusing with all of the different features, and I also had a lot of trouble customizing. They seem to force you to do "themes" now, and that isn't what I want. I would like something that is organized, simple, and yet sophisticated looking, as well as customizable and easy to use. Also, I would prefer something specifically dedicated to blogging, not something connect to any other sites stuff. I'm looking to be able to add photos in the text, as well as videos and such. If you have any recommendations, I would really appreciate them! Thanks! |

![]() | Blogger is great! They offer easy to use layouts and a drag and drop editor where you can add widgets and even adsense ads to make money off of your blog. Everything is fairly simple. It's all free so no worries on that aspect. There is also WordPress which I love as well. The interface is easy to use (although I believe Blogger's is much simpler). It seems as though it's made for professional bloggers, so if that's what you're planning on doing, I'd recommend WordPress. Last but not least, there is a writing community called Associated Content. You can blog, write articles, poems, songs, upload music, or whatever you'd like. I know a woman who had a very successful "Dear Addict" blog about her brushes with addiction. You also get paid on Associated Content. I average around $3 per upfront article and make approximately $15 a week in page views. Not much, but it works. Hope I've helped! |
