![]() | UPDATED: Yes, you can, but it would be like finding a needle in a haystack. You would need some accurate, detailed information about your friend and their blog to be able to filter through results faster. There's probably hundreds of e-mail address and blog hosts. It's not going to be easy to find one e-mail address without knowing at least the host used (i.e. Y!360, MySpace, Blogger, Livejournal, Wordpress, Facebook and etc.). Also, there's no guarantee they are listed in a directory, since for many, the user can choose be unsearchable or not listed. You can start with Yahoo! - Search Yahoo! 360 spaces (a Yahoo social networking service that features a blog): http://360.yahoo.com/search.html . You can search for people via nickname, keywords, and location. You can search by real name only if the person has enabled that option. See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/search/index.html for more about using that search. - Yahoo has another blogging service called Yahoo! Shine (http://shine.yahoo.com ), but there doesn't seem to be search functions for it. - If you don't know your friend's Yahoo ID, you may be able to find out some leads by searching via the Yahoo! Profile. See http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/profiles/peoplesearch/ for details. You may have to do a similar individual searches at each of the main blog providers that I've mentioned above. There are blog search engines as well. See http://websearch.about.com/od/internetresearch/a/newsblog.htm for a list. Although, you can just save a lot of time by just asking your friend for the direct URL to their blog, if it's viewable by the public. Yes, the blog may be protected by password or you may need to become a member of the site to comment on it. |
