Internet Marketing Business Forum

I am new to this forum and internet marketing, and all of this is great information! But, I do have a few questions. First, if I create a blog on XYZ niche subject, do I need a landing page to send traffic to in order to build a list? Secondly, can I put affiliate links on it? Does most of your income derive from Adsense?

It looks alot simpler to build and maintain a blog rather than a website. Plus, I believe it would give me the opportunity to start building some income while I am in the learning phase of online marketing. (i.e. website building, info products, etc..) Am I on the right track with this?

I have several topics I am very passionate about and would love to write about them in a blog. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
