Default Backup Website content to offline storage?

I would like to backup all pages and directories of my website to my offline storage? How do I do this?

Easiest way is FTP: connect to the web server and download the whole thing, one directory at a time, saving to your offline storage device. (If you've ever uploaded files to the server with FTP, this is the exact reverse.)

If you run something with a database in it, you should back it up using something appropriate: phpMyAdmin, for instance, for a MySQL database. If you have no databases, don't worry about it.

Webmaster make a backup at least once a month as "insurance" against unforeseen circumstances. A copy of this backup should be maintained off-site ie away from the server that hosts the company webmaster, probably the hard disk webmaster or a removable optical disk drive or flash.

you can go into PHP my admin,, click the export button, scroll all the way down to the very bottom, check the box that says database, and then click the backup button. It's always good to back up your content on a daily basis, and then place your database that you just backed up on a CD-RW or flash drive. This way, not only do you have a copy of your database stored on your desktop PC or laptop, but you also have a copy stored on a CD-RW or flash drive. Hope this helps.
