I've been searching and searching on EBAY for a cheap IPOD but I don't know whether to get the 3rd generation or the 4th generation. I realize that the size is different. Other than that, what are the major differences and which would you recommend for someone on a tight budget??

I may even be interested in the 2nd generation as well. Does anyone out there have one of them?

get the 2nd generation maybe i can sell mine to you =)
its almost 3 years old and ive NEVER had a problem
all my friends still have their 2nd generation too.. they rock
and last through anything!!!! get one!!!

Of all the iPods I've owned, I liked the 3G the least. I'd go for the 4G.
