Ship it back with delivery confirmation. As long as you prove he got it PP will make sure you get your money.

You are worried about nothing, any advid user of ebay knows that the seller of an item always gets the bum rap from Ebay not the buyer.

The seller is pretty much out of luck.

PayPal and Ebay offer buyer protection from $200 up to $2000 for the buyer.

The seller must be very very careful, due to scammers who search for an item on ebay to buy that is "exactly" like a broken one they "already" own.

The buyer then purchases the item using PAYPAL from a good and honest seller, then claim that it was "broken" when they recieved it.

The seller has no recourse but to refund the "buyers money"

The buyer then sends back THIER broken one they "already" owned, and keeps the "good working" item the seller sent them in good faith.

Its the oldest trick in the book called the old SWITCHAROO!

My broken one for your good one and I get my money back on top of it leaveing the seller out of a product and money!

Its a scam on ebay.

So regardless you are getting your money back mr buyer either from the seller, ebay or paypal.

I can already sense hundreds of people reading this message right now and thinking YES! I'm gonna try that and get me some FREE STUFF.

One bit of caution if you want to be a scammer go ahead. But make sure that the seller didnt make a copy of the personal serial number of the product he sent you because if you send him/her back a product that doesnt match their records, you may find yourself in court paying due diligence for outright stealing, which I think holds a jail sentence the last time I checked. Its called Theft and theft with intent.

Your day will come for your dishonesty!

There's a few other new laws I didnt tell you which ebay has enforced as well with their new format.
So you might want to think twice if you plan on becoming a scammer and scamming good, honest and hard working sellers on ebay.

And remember these people who sell on ebay also have to feed their families. Most people on ebay who sell items are typically honest due to the fact they want a good reputation to follow them so they can continue to sell good working items, they want good feedback from customers not bad. But once in a while it does happen someone tries to take advantage of sellers knowing full well what they are doing.

Sometimes sellers get real busy and it is possible by human error you were sent someone elses item and they got yours, in otherward two boxes were mis labled. That happens sometimes where the seller accidently put the wrong lable on two different boxes and you recieve someone else's item and they recieve yours.

Give the seller a good chance to straighten it out before becoming enraged over a simple mistake.

good luck to you.

Nothing in this message was meant to be against you personally only educating the public. Thankyou
