Default Dealing with my eBay buyer ...?

I just sold an item for $108, the buyer is in Singapore. I listed my S/H to be flat US$25 on over seas. Now, the buyer is asking for discount, actually FREE shipping. What am I supposed to do with the buyer? I thought you are supposed to agree on all the terms and conditions BEFORE you place your bid on the item.... The buyer sounds very sweet and nice. I am sweet and nice, that is why I am here asking business professional opinion~! Help.

When your buyer placed a bid on your item, she agreed to your conditions, including what the shipping charges were.

I certainly would not reduce the price of shipping for her. Just be "sweet and nice" and inform her that you expect her to pay the amount agreed to, which is in your listing as being $25.00.

Tell him that he has to pay the shipping as stated in the auction. Placing a bid is a biding contract, so by placing his bid, he agreed to the terms of your auction. He is in the wrong, not you. Stick to your guns.

If you have to, file an unpaid item dispute if he won't pay up.

BTW, don't sell international. Stick to the USA, because a lot of times foreign people are out to swindle people out of their money on eBay. Some foreign countries don't have laws punishing them for ripping people off like in there is in the USA. They can do it and not get in trouble. There's an option when you list an item for sale that will block international bids.

Good Luck!
Hope that helps.

Hi,
Send the buyer an invoice with your shipping fees, if they refuse to pay wait until the 8th day & file for an unpaid item. Buyers are required to read but don't rely on that, i had a local pick up (dining room table) buyer was 1500 miles away then writes that he thought it meant free shipping. Ebay is not the fun place it used to be.

The first thing to do, if you are interested in eBay, is to open an eBay account. This is free to do and only takes a few minutes. You should choose the E-Bay site in the country you live in, but please note that you can use eBay ID to buy or sell goods to other sites when another country has gone from your account. When you are absolutely sure that e-bay is for you, your business plan is a great way to get rolling.
