I have a couple of books in PDF format. I've sold used books on half.com before. I was wondering, can I sell the PDF versions of the book online as well, and if so, how? Is it legal?

No. PDF books are a software product and can't be resold. This is probably explained in the copyright section in the first few pages of the book itself.
