![]() | Things that most newbies face... You are running your Internet Home Business and you are generating lots of traffic. The only trouble is "No one is buying any thing!!!" Lets have a look at this checklist and see if we can find out why. 1. Do You make people feel safe? If selling a product - Is it from a secure server indicated by https://. If collecting email addresses - Do you instill assurance that you will not SPAM them. 2. Does your website look professional? Its better if you use your own domain name. It should be relevant to the product or service and not some affiliate link. 3. What does your web page say? Does your head line target your guest. In your content are you only talking about features instead of the benefits your product or service provides. 4. Did you obtain their email address prior to them leaving? People don't usually buy the first time they pay a visit, so did you prompt them to bookmark your site or capture their email address by offering a free gift. 5. Do you have a "contact us" or "About Us" page on your website? This will make people more comfortable and safe, when they know a bit about you. Do you list your email address or phone number so they can contact you. 6. What type of keyword are you using? 90% of the people searching the web are looking for information only. Only a few are looking to buy. You should use buying keywords for your target traffic. 7. Do you have a time limit on your offer? Most people will postpone buying your product or service until later. Once they leave your website they will forget about it. Entice them to buy now with a freebie or a discount with a timed deadline. This is not a perfect checklist but its something to review and help turn that non profitable website in to a money-making Internet Home Business. Here are some other things you can do Compare your website with other websites selling a similar product or service. You can get some layout ideas for your website to improve its looks but never copy content. Look at things like the type and size of font they use above the fold. If they use a form to capture email addresses where is it located? Try different landing pages and track which is producing the most sales. To your success John Chatterton
