| Search engines send robots to read and index your pages. This page reverses that process and indexes the robots. AFAIK, crawler and bots are same.

| web crawling is the process of computer program that can browse,a website in automated manner, it create a copy of all the visited pages for later processing by a search engine.if the website has a natural and relevant information then it starts crawling over that website.
