marketers? I'm beginning a new sort of website. I publish articles about relatively well known events, policies and technologies, from a different standing as well as allowing the reader to comment and eventually help write articles. It's nothing new or mind blowing, but I do hope it takes off and becomes read.

To get an audience and other editors I need traffic. How do I get web traffic without paying unreasonable amounts of money to web marketers? Do I have to? Do they really work? Are there any other solutions?
