Default Is there any evidence that Google Search is ranking those websites

higher which have AdSense deployed on them? From the past 5 years of my Internet use, I'm beginning to get a strong feeling that Google Search's ranking of webpages and websites is biased towards those, which have AdSense code deployed on them.

For some time I had AdSense deployed on my blog, and this had increased the amount of Web traffic flowing to my blog. But after removal of AdSense, the incoming traffic visibly reduced.

If true, this will have the following effects:-

1) Web searchers will be exposed to more AdSense ads. More exposure will turn into more clicks, driving Google's revenues higher.

2) Site owners deploying AdSense will be financially healthier than those who don't, and this will attract more and more site owners to deploy AdSense

Is there any conspiracy-theory/evidence that supports my this hypothesis?

That has been raised a number of times since Adsense started in 2003.

And no, there's no evidence that supports this hypothesis, even though that Google can potentially generate more advertising income if they show Adsense ads at the top of the searches

But Wikipedia is almost always at the top of the list, and it does not show Adsense ads. Yahoo Answer questions always come in the top 10 and it does not show Adsense ads

Plus, Google is not stupid to destroy the credibility of their much vaunted algorithm and put Adsense ads on the top instead. Doing so will just ruin their MAIN business, which is search.

Note also that Adsense comprise only 39% of ad revenues of Google with 68% coming from Google site (Adwords) itself http://investor.google.com/fin_data.html
