![]() | (Like Digg, Reddit, etc)? They're pretty small, and are neither limited to blogs or to blog related sites. You'll see them for Flickr, Facebook, Del.icio.us, Twitter, etc. I've always wondered what they are called, if they even have a name. The ones for Digg and Reddit and others are so you can click them and it will reference the site. |

![]() | They're submission icons to social networking news syndication sites to popularize the blog post and get the article out there. Frequenters of reddit.com, digg.com, etc. will then see a link to the blog post and check it out. If it piques their interest they'll consequently rate which will increase the ranking of the blog post/article on the respective news syndication sites. Also it offers a way to universally write comments about an article. |
