Some mistakes which are still done by web designers, so you should avoid following web design’s mistakes:

Crowded web pages: Avoid making web pages crowded so it helps to maintain balance between the place of information and white space.
Complex URLs: To turn off visitors because it’s difficult to understand by human as well for search engines
Browser Compatibility: Website should be all browsers compatible.
Confusing Navigation: Lose potential audience so navigation should be clear and eye catching.
Musical background: Annoy the visitor while he/she is reading/working on the important topic.
Poor text formatting: Visitors don’t have much time to spare on your site to read Poor text.
Improper advertising placement: In long term this will reduce the number of visitors and increase bounce rate.
