How can I embed a WAV file into my web page? My web page needs to be pass validation of XHTML 1.1. I know that I have to use the OBJECT tag but I saw this on a website.

"The <object> tag is an in-line tag, meaning that it must be enclosed inside a block-level tag to pass XHTML 1.1 validation"

Can anyone please tell me what that means? And how I can embed sound in my page (passing XHTML 1.1 validation)?

It means you should put it inside a <DIV> tag.

you have to copy that sound file in to the source drive or web server for easily access from your presentation...

Hey I also have knowledge of HTML but I am new to this XHTML I also don't know how embed Sound in XHTML..Can you please help me with more examples on this..
