...cant you delete that line? I like to draw a line in this way, but it is impossible to remove it. You can move it up or down but you cannot delete it - why? I am attempting to draw a line between paragraphs for example.

Because it.s not a line.. it's a border. If you release that you don't want it soon after you created it, you can remove it by choosing Edit...Undo from the menu.

If it is too late for an undo, go above the line then choose Format...Border and Shading from the menu. Remove the border from this dialog.
