When ever I used to press those buttons, the word finder would come at the bottom of my screen and not block anything or get in the way, for some reason now it comes in a box and is quite annoying. How do I change it?

If you are talking about while doing it in your browser. I believe you are using Internet Explorer... Switch to Mozilla Firefox in order to be able to do that. You just hit ctrl+f and it finds what you are looking for while you type. Trust me you will love Firefox if you don't have it already.
