I love wordpress, its functions and the team that support it are second to none. But ..

Im starting a web design company here shortly and im wondering what limitations wordpress has with it? i know its open GPL software but are we allowed to basically take it, rip it up a little and call it our own with no links back to wordpress at all?

We want to use a white lable solution for our clients as some of them wont be happy using a branded product. I have looked around for decent coders but they are finding it difficult to incorporate all the features that wordpress uses.

Any help or advise would be great!
